I decided to work up a totally new rendition of Dolores, this one inspired by Kelli Ham and her captivating portrayal of the character in my short film “Visitors Only.”
What started as a dark comedy/horror short always seems to lead to bigger ideas every time I return to this character. The story of an abused, traumatized woman finding strength and justice is so powerful to me, and I’m going to keep looking for a way to tell the rest of her story.
